About
Join us for a June takeover! Our Double Trouble Month has been thought to give exposure to different dance artists, different dance styles and combinations.
Our last duo, the entertaining, the charismatic Mael and Octaves!
About your instructors:
These two don’t need an introduction anymore!
Octaves is an established Congolese entertainer, dancer, DJ and MC.
Coming from New Zealand in 2021-2022, he has shaken the Afro scene in Australia ever since. Octaves created the Afro Melbourne Jam and a festival bringing together all Australian Afro dancers in one space.
Unmissable, if you love African music and specifically Congolese music, you sure have partied, danced or vibed with him in our local and international most famous events such as Kulture Clubs, RedBull Dance Your Style Battles to name a few.
Constantly serving the African community wherever he finds himself, Octaves is a dedicated dancer, a wealth of knowledge.
Mael is a Cameroonian and Australian self taught multidisciplinary dancer. From Hiphop to Afro, he is the absolute definition of being passionate by dance. He started dancing at the age of 17 and made it his profession. He won multiple local battles and battled internationally and occasionally even appears in commercials.
Forever a student, Mael continues learning and growing to this day while sharing his passion all over Australia. From kids to adults, he makes it his mission to share good vibes through dance.
Renown performer, he is also a dedicated content creator, sharing dance tips with everyone on various platforms. Mael is always up for a collaboration, and there is no doubt that if you are a dancer in Melbourne you have danced with him at some stage.
His infectious positivity and energy wins everyone’s heart!
There is absolutely no doubt that this class will be a fun one!
